Operations Manager!
Description
The Operations Manager is the chief administrative and operational leader of the Longmont Youth Symphony. This part-time role works closely with the Board of Directors and Music Directors to ensure strong organizational operations, financial stability, community visibility, and high-quality program support. The Operations Manager leads day-to-day administration while advancing key strategic priorities such as fundraising, communications, partnerships, and organizational development.
This position is ideal for a mission-driven arts administrator or nonprofit leader who thrives in a small, collaborative organization with meaningful community impact.
This is a part-time, contract-based, hourly position.
Qualifications
Required
Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with families, donors, community partners, and board members.
Experience with nonprofit or arts administration, youth programming, or related leadership roles.
Ability to manage small-scale budgets and interpret financial information.
Proficiency with standard office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, shared documents).
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Clear criminal background check.
Preferred
Experience in fundraising, sponsorship outreach, or grant writing.
Experience in performing arts, music education, or youth arts organizations.
Public speaking or event-hosting experience.
